FIREPROOF GLAZING DOORS
Fire-rated windows are the combination of fire-rated glass and frames. The doors stops smoke and flames from spreading while protecting from immediate exposure to a blaze.Fire-protective door blocks the spread of fire and smoke. Fire-resistant door does the same, but also provides protection from a blaze’s radiant heat. In order to achieve this status, the glass and doors must go through a rigorous testing process, where it is heated inside a furnace at temperatures of up to 1,700 degrees Fahrenheit. The ratings are given to the glass based on how long it stays intact without breaking. Some fire-rated glass only stays intact for 30 minutes, though higher quality glass can stay intact for up to 3 hours. The doors can be used in many situtations, such as commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, high-rise apartments, etc. They are necessary for many buildings according to the local building laws, codes and regulations in different countries to ensure buildings are constructed with appropriate fire safety measures.
